It's a wipeout

Wednesday 28th March

Wednesday saw further snow fall, but far better visibility, leading to excellent skiing conditions all day and fabulous views across the valley.

The day did start slowly for one student - Bertie Cripps - who left his helmet on the Gondola, and after waiting for 20 minutes, had to borrow Miss Strange’s turquoise one - a slight clash with his neon yellow jacket!

Despite this, the groups eventually got started, and you would have been forgiven for thinking visibility had not improved at all - with Ed Gordon Thomson & Freddie Costin finding themselves in a heap amongst the trees!

It seemed they set the tone for several calamitous crashes, with Kai Lendrum taking a huge tumble in the Ski Park and Olivia Newman falling 8 feet off the piste when trying to stand still!

There was however some excellent skiing on show, with the improved conditions allowing the students to travel further across the valley and try out different runs, at higher speeds, with both the instructors - and staff - duly impressed with the progress made by the students over the past 4 days.

This evenings activities involved playing football against some German students staying in the same complex, or watching Beauty & The Beast in the cinema room, with many students seemingly looking to save energy for the excitement of the water park tomorrow night.
